In addition, playing games gives your child an opportunity to experience (and cope with) losing. We suggest not letting your child win every single time you play. Learning how to cope with defeat in safe surroundings together with you helps make children robust and resilient. After all, you will not be there to protect your child from disappointment and defeat later in life when they set out on their own.
