“Sit still and stop rocking the chair” doesn’t apply with motor skills furniture (thankfully). Being able to rock and roll (literally) can in fact help children with motor restlessness keep calm. When your child's vestibular sense and proprioception get more of the input they need to work well, your child has an easier time settling down.
