This activity stimulates essential skills which are wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn:

- Benefits hand-eye coordination, which is engaged for example when we catch, throw, or kick a ball that comes flying towards us in PE class, or when we cut a straight line with scissors or need to pour water into a glass without spilling.

When children try stacking blocks or other small objects on top of each other, which they start doing as soon as they are able to sit up on their own, they simultaneously learn about balance, proportions, gravity, and physics. At first, it's great fun toppling the stack of blocks. But gradually, your child's motor skills become stronger, and they stack the blocks taller and taller or begin stacking figures or other things. If the blocks have numbers on them, your child can practise numbers and their sequences while playing.
