Suitable for ages 3 yrs. to 6 yrs.
Doing puzzles together strengthens your child's patience and fine motor skills. Also, placing the pieces is a fun way to get better at understanding how separate parts form a whole and figuring out where each part belongs in the big picture.
The ability to register something visually and envision what's missing from a whole is an important skill for learning math and geometry as well as understanding how sums, sentences, or even a piece of knitting, among other things, are made up of patterns and sequences.
If the puzzle has a special picture, such as anatomy, jungle animals, or flags of the world, you can expand your child's vocabulary by talking about it while doing the puzzle.
The activity is wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:
