All over the world, people across different cultures tell stories about the same themes. It is a very important skill to be able to understand and tell a story with a beginning and an end. That skill can be developed by repeating the storytelling game over and over and adding your own touch to the story.

When children are learning to understand stories, physical props are a great help. A hand puppet allows your child practise storytelling. What's more, they're a very good way to bring storytelling to life. The reader telling the story does not get hidden away behind a book but gets to be in active contact with the little listeners, who get to be actively participating children instead of passive children.
