Joyk Empathy Doll - Therapy Doll, 50 cm

The doll can sit up on its own, which makes it a popular choice for children or adults with disabilities, in senior care, or in school/childcare settings. The doll easily becomes a natural part of shared spaces, ready for cuddles, comfort, or a chat.

About the doll:

• The doll is made from the softest fabric, designed to feel like real skin with tiny, delicate hairs. The doll is not anatomically correct.
• The doll’s bottom is slightly weighted, so you instinctively want to support it when you lift the doll (just like you would with a real baby).
• The doll’s facial expression has been carefully tested and fine-tuned to spark empathy in children, adults, and seniors alike. It is made to cradle perfectly in your arm and look up at you, inviting eye contact and connection.
• The doll is 50 cm long.

As an optional extra, you can buy a beating heart to put inside the doll. It may sound a bit over the top, but it adds an extra lifelike touch when you can feel a pulse, hear a natural heartbeat, and sense a calming rhythm that brings back memories of sitting with your own child.

The doll is hand-sewn, so facial expressions may vary from doll to doll.

The doll can be machine washed at max. 40°C and tumble dried on the lowest setting. Protect the doll's hair during washing with e.g. a nylon stocking.

When role playing, your child is able to learn about boundaries, rules, and opportunities for identity formation and social interaction, and this develops their understanding of the world they live in.
