What makes this product special
Suitable for children aged 4 yrs. to 12 yrs.
When your child plays with a ball using their feet, hands, head, or a racket/bat, their depth perception is enhanced. Besides, ball games may have rules, and it's beneficial for your child to practise following and negotiating them. So, when your child firmly claims that there's absolutely NO penalty, or that the ball was NOT out of bounds, don't worry - that's a learning moment. Playing ball games also revs up your child's proprioception - and that's a sense that cannot get overstimulated.
This activity supports important skills which support your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:
- This type of play develops your child's gross motor skills. It especially involves your child's ability to control the coordination of their legs and arms.
- Develops hand-eye coordination, a skill we rely on for example when we catch or kick a ball that comes flying at us in the playground, when we cut a straight line line with a pair of scissors, or when we need to pour a glass of water without missing.
- Strengthens your child's proprioception, which helps them build the confidence to use their body through active play and benefits their concentration.
