If you want to give your inquisitive kiddo a microscope, remember that price and quality often go hand in hand. So think about what you would like to look at with the microscope.
For instance, if you are planning to examine a drop of blood under the microscope, we suggest that you get a microscope for children that has more than 400x magnification. It costs more than a simpler model, but your child will learn and understand so much more when they get to focus the microscope and learn on their own. But it’s also fun and interesting to study a dead spider or a fly way up close, and you can do that with a simple microscope.
