The Zicklein climbing triangle can be adjusted to stand at an acute, obtuse, or right angle. This means that all children, regardless of confidence level and gross motor skills, can join in, and their play can evolve over time.

The climbing triangle is a wonderful toy in so many ways. You can climb over or under it, use it as a ladder or a hurdle for an obstacle course, or turn it into a secret hideaway or a spooky underground cave (whatever your child can do with their imagination and a big blanket).

The Zicklein is a fun and versatile piece of play equipment, and you can combine it with a Kletterling slide or climbing arch.

Is your child about ready to start crawling or taking their first wobbly steps? Then check out our inspiring "Crawling & First Steps" category. It’s packed with wonderful toys and playthings that inspire your little rugrat to have a go at crawling and, next, to walk. Some items are baby toys, while others will grow with your child and bring them fun and educational play for years to come.

This toy has no rulebook or right or wrong ways to play, and your child can simply play without worrying about how to use it. The goal is simply playing and being in the present moment. At ToyAcademy, we call this type of play intuitive play - its also called "open ended play". We recommend that you pause and observe what happens when your child plays in ways that let them use their intuition.

As opposed to types of play which are about achieving a particular result, intuitive play will most often give you interesting insight into your child’s independent imagination, problem-solving skills, and thought process.

Motor skills furniture is the complete opposite of sitting still and staying calm. In fact, being able to rock and roll (furniture wise) can help children with motor restlessness stay calm. Your child's proprioception and vestibular sense need input to function optimally. And when your child gets the sensory input they need, it's easier for your child to stay calm.

Motor skills furniture from ToyAcademy is robust and can withstand years of use.

Do you know Kletterling?

Kletterling is absolutely outstanding - when it comes to protecting the environment as much as possible, taking social responsibility, as well as producing fantastic and completely safe motor skills toys. The German family who own and design Kletterling work closely with a Latvian family who own a carpentry shop. Together, the families turn birch wood from Latvia and screws from Denmark into toys with as little environmental impact as possible.

The glue is organic lignin. Lignin is a natural adhesive found in plants, which binds plant fibers together. The wood is neither varnished nor painted, so your child can feel the wood's smooth, bare surface. The carpentry shop in Latvia was chosen because of a desire to support a socially responsible company and create economic growth in a country that needs it.

If the surface gets marks or scratches, you can gently sand it with fine grit sandpaper. Kletterling toys are for indoor play.
