Building and construction play is fun, a bit time consuming, and very educational. We'll leave out a long essay about how this type of play benefits your child's creativity, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills as well as understanding of geometry and interest in entrepreneurship.
While playing, your child also gets practical experience with solving problems when it comes to figuring out how to build the construction so it doesn't collapse. Your child's construction play with all sorts of magnets, building blocks, or pieces develops their patience. Also, it's just such a confidence boost to build the longest marble run ever or construct a skyscraper higher than yourself, or to maybe make an amazing domino row and film it when it topples.
