Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 6 yrs.
Doing puzzles together develops your child's fine motor skills and patience. Also, putting the pieces together is a fun way to get better at understanding how separate parts form a whole and figuring out where each part belongs in the big picture.
The ability to register something visually (with our eyes) and envision a whole (and what parts are missing) is an important skill when it comes to learning math and geometry as well as understanding how sums, sentences, or a piece of knitting, among other things, are constructed of patterns and sequences.
If the puzzle has a special topic, such as animals, anatomy, or geography, you can expand your child's vocabulary by talking about it while doing the puzzle.
