Not suitable for kicking.
It supports your child's depth perception to play with a ball using their feet, hands, head, or a racket/bat. Some ball games have rules, and it's beneficial for your child to practise negotiating them. So, when your child stubbornly insists that there's certainly NO penalty kick, or that the ball was not out of bounds, that's a learning moment right there. Playing with balls also gives your child's proprioception thorough workout - and that's a sense that cannot be overstimulated.
