Constructing and building is very educational, very fun, and a bit time consuming. We could easily write a whole book about how construction play benefits your child's hand-eye coordination, creativity, and fine motor skills as well as interest in entrepreneurship and understanding of geometry.
With this type of play, your child also gets real hands-on experience with solving problems when they need to figure out how to assemble the construction so it doesn't fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of magnets, building blocks, or pieces develops their patience. And it's just so cool and satisfying to build the longest marble run ever or construct a skyscraper higher than yourself, or to create a super cool domino field and film it as it topples.

Do you know Magna-Tiles?
The lovely magnetic building toys Magna-Tiles encourage and challenge children to use geometric shapes to build both very small and quite large structures - just like bridges and footballs both consist of a pattern of geometric shapes. Magna-Tiles are magnetic on all sides, so they easily stick to each other via magnetism. They come in many colours, shapes, and themes, so whether your child likes animals or mirror mazes, Magna-Tiles are a great idea.Magna-Tiles attract each other no matter which way they're turned, because the magnetic poles of the tiles are arranged in a way that allows this. Magna-Tiles are made from ABS plastic, which makes them very robust. Since the magnets are placed differently than on Magformers, Magformers and Magna-Tiles do not fit together. But Magna-Tiles and Connetix work well together.
Magna-Tiles should be cleaned with a damp cloth and must not be submerged in water or washed in a sink or dishwasher. If water gets into the magnets, you can stand them upright to dry.
