Construction play is fun, a bit time consuming, and very educational. We'll leave out a long and tedious dissertation on how this type of play develops your child's creativity, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills as well as interest in entrepreneurship and understanding of geometry.

Magna-Tiles are quality magnetic building toys that encourage and challenge kids to explore how different geometric shapes can be used to build anything from very simple to very complex structures (look at a bridge or a football - both consist of triangles and squares in a neat pattern). Magna-Tiles are magnetic on all sides, so they easily stick to each other via magnetism. Magna-Tiles do not repel each other and can be put together on all sides, because the poles of the magnets are arranged in a way that allows this. Magna-Tiles are produced from ABS plastic, which makes them very durable. The magnets are arranged differently than on Magformers, so Magna-Tiles and Magformers are not compatible. But Magna-Tiles work well with Connetix.

They can be cleaned with a damp cloth and must not be submerged in water or washed in a sink or dishwasher. If they get wet, we recommend that you let them dry standing upright so the water can drain.
