For some children, cars and other vehicles with anywhere from 1 to 1,000 wheels are the best toys ever to play with, talk about, sleep with, and dream about. And cars are indeed some of the greatest toys around with turning wheels and jobs to do.
Cars help patients to the hospital, transport everything from cornflakes to football cleats and doll shoes, take people on vacation to the Harz, and drive astronauts around on the Moon.
Playing with cars can be an interesting scientific experiment or a great role play activity. Alone or with friends, for blazing speeds or calm and quiet cruises - like when your child's favourite tractor chugs home from the field after a long day of work, gazing longingly towards the barn and looking forward to a gulp of refreshing engine oil.
Constructing and building is educational, fun, and also time consuming. We can easily write a long sales pitch about how building and construction play stimulates your child's fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity as well as their understanding of geometry and interest in entrepreneurship.
With this type of play, your child also gets practical experience with solving problems when it comes to figuring out how to build the construction so it doesn't suddenly collapse. Your child's construction play with all sorts of building materials develops their patience. And it's just so cool and satisfying to build the longest marble run ever or construct a skyscraper higher than yourself, or to create an impressive domino row and film it as it topples.

Do you know Magna-Tiles?
The lovely magnetic building toys Magna-Tiles challenge and encourage kids to use geometric shapes to build anything from very simple to very complex structures - just like footballs and bridges both consist of a pattern of geometric shapes. Magna-Tiles are magnetic on all sides and edges, so they easily stick to each other due to their magnetic properties. The tiles come in many colours, shapes, and themes, so whether your child likes animals or mirror mazes, Magna-Tiles are a great idea.Magna-Tiles do not repel each other and can be put together on all sides, because they are polarised in a way that allows this. Magna-Tiles are made from ABS plastic, which makes them very durable. Since the magnets are placed differently than on Magformers, Magformers and Magna-Tiles do not fit together. But Magna-Tiles work well with Connetix.
They should be cleaned with a damp cloth. They should not be submerged in water or put in the dishwasher or washing machine. If they do get wet, put them upright to dry so the water can drain out.
