Super cool set of Magna-Tiles, the brilliant magnetic building tiles. This special edition glows in the dark.
The 16 tiles come in various geometric shapes, and they’re great as a standalone set or as an add-on to your child’s other Magna-Tiles.
Includes an LED light, which you can use to charge the Magna-Tiles so they glow in the dark. They also charge in regular daylight, but the more light they're exposed to, the stronger the glow will be.
When you turn off the lights, your child can enjoy the beautiful glow-in-the-dark effect.
You can also cut out stencils from paper or other materials, place the stencils over the Magna-Tiles, charge the tiles with light, and remove the stencils - then, you'll see the stencil shapes (e.g. numbers, animals, or letters) glow on the magnetic tiles.
The activity helps your child develop skills and is great for your child's well-being:
- Here, fine motor skills are engaged.
- Sparks creativity in your child.
- Benefits your child's counting, number recognition, and basic math skills.
Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 11 yrs.
Construction play is very educational, very fun, and a bit time consuming. We won't burden you with a long-winded piece about how this type of play strengthens your child's fine motor skills, creativity, and hand-eye coordination as well as understanding of geometry and interest in entrepreneurship.
While playing, your child also gets hands-on experience with solving problems when they need to figure out how to put together the construction so it doesn't suddenly collapse. Your child's construction play with all sorts of magnets, building blocks, or pieces stimulates their imagination. And it's just so satisfying to construct a tall, tall tower or build the world's longest marble run, or to maybe create a super cool domino track and film it as it topples.
Do you know Magna-Tiles?
Magna-Tiles are lovely magnetic building toys that motivate and challenge children to explore how different geometric shapes can be used to build anything from very simple to very complex structures (look at a bridge or a football - both consist of triangles and squares in a neat pattern). Magna-Tiles are magnetic on all sides and edges, so they easily stick to each other via magnetic attraction. They come in many different themes, shapes, and sizes, with mirrors, transparent, and with figures. There is something for every child. The magnetic poles in Magna-Tiles are arranged so that the tiles do not repel each other and can be put together on all sides. The tiles are created from ABS plastic, which is very robust. They cannot be combined with Magformers, but they work with Connetix.
Magna-Tiles should be cleaned with a damp, well wrung out cloth. They should not be plunged in the sink with the dirty dishes or put in the dishwasher or washing machine. If they do get wet, you can set them upright to dry so the water can drain.
