Building and constructing is fun, a bit time consuming, and very educational. We could very easily write a long sales pitch about how this type of play develops your child's fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity as well as understanding of geometry and interest in entrepreneurship.
While playing, your child also gets hands-on experience with problem-solving when it comes to figuring out how to design the construction so it doesn't suddenly fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of blocks, pieces, and sticks stimulates their imagination. Also, it's just so satisfying to build the longest marble run ever or construct a skyscraper higher than yourself, or to maybe make a really cool domino track and film it as it topples.

Do you know Magna-Tiles?
Magna-Tiles are high-quality magnetic construction toys that encourage and challenge your child to explore how different geometric shapes can be used to build both very small and quite large structures (look at a football or a bridge - both consist of triangles and squares in a neat pattern). Magna-Tiles are magnetic on all sides, so they easily stick to each other via magnetic attraction. They come in many colours, shapes, and themes, so whether your child likes animals or mirror mazes, Magna-Tiles are a great idea.The magnetic poles of Magna-Tiles are arranged so that the tiles do not repel each other and can be put together on all sides and edges. The tiles are created from ABS plastic, which is very robust. They are not compatible with Magformers, but they work with Connetix.
The magnetic tiles should be cleaned with a damp cloth and must not be submerged in water or washed in a sink or dishwasher. If they do get wet, you can save them by setting them upright to dry so the water can drain out.
