Building and construction play is educational, fun, and also time consuming. We won't get into a long dissertation on how this type of play stimulates your child's hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and creativity as well as understanding of geometry and interest in entrepreneurship.
With construction play, your child also gets real-life experience with problem-solving when they need to figure out how to design the construction so it doesn't fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of building blocks, pieces, or magnets develops their patience. And it's just such a confidence boost to construct a tall, tall tower or build the world's longest marble run, or to make a super cool row of dominoes and film it as it topples.

Do you know Magna-Tiles?
Magna-Tiles are quality magnetic construction toys that challenge and invite kids to explore how different geometric shapes can be used to build anything from very simple to very complex structures (look at a bridge or a football - both consist of triangles and squares in a neat pattern). Magna-Tiles are magnetic on all sides and edges, so they easily stick to each other via magnetic attraction. They come in many different themes, shapes, and sizes, with mirrors, transparent, and with figures. There is something for every child.The magnetic poles of Magna-Tiles are arranged so that the building tiles do not repel each other and can be put together on all sides and edges. The tiles are made of ABS plastic, which makes them very robust. They are not compatible with Magformers, but they work with Connetix.
Magna-Tiles should be cleaned with a damp, well wrung out cloth. They should not be plunged in the sink with the dirty dishes or put in the dishwasher or washing machine. If they do get wet, put them upright to dry so the water can drain out.
