The sweet little brother tooth fairy mouse stays snuggled up in its matchbox until your child says goodbye to their first baby tooth. If your child has already lost their first tooth, this little mouse can still enter the picture later on the tooth loss journey, for example for tooth number 2, 3, or 7.
Your child can put their lost tooth in the little heart-shaped metal box, tuck it in with the mouse, and close the box. During the night, the mouse will flutter away on its fairy wings and find the sweetest dream for your child as a thank you for the tooth. The sweet dream will last until the next tooth falls out.
If you like, the tooth fairy mouse can also leave a coin or a tiny present in the matchbox as a thank you for the tooth.
The mouse sleeps in its soft bed and is only 11 cm tall.
The activity supports skill development and is great for your child's well-being:
- Excellent for improving your child's empathy skills.
- Excellent for group role play, where children get to practise finding their own place in the game and not always being in charge.
- Strengthens social skills, which, according to elementary school teachers and childcare professionals, are more important for students to practise than memorizing letters and historical events.
Measures 11 x 8 x 5 cm.
Suitable for ages 3 yrs. to 7 yrs.
Dressing up or playing with doll sets, play sets, and face paint are all different ways of role playing. Role play is key in your child's development. During role play, your child develops their ability to think creatively about their own identity. What can I do as a sword fighter or a giant? How does a gardener or a turtle talk? These sorts of thoughts help develop your child's social skills. Through role play, your child is able to test rules, boundaries, and opportunities for social interaction and identity formation, and this stimulates their understanding of the world around them.
Do you know Maileg?
Maileg was founded in 1999 by Erik og Dorthe Mailil, who set out to design durable toys with lots of soul and personality as a counterbalance plastic toys and throw-away culture. The name Maileg is made up of the founders' surname and the Danish word for play. Based in Herning, Denmark, Maileg creates toy figures and accessories full of Nordic simplicity and ""hygge"".Maileg's mice, elves, animal figures, and accessories are made with immersive, calm play in mind. It's all about imagining worlds and telling stories with toys whose quality and appearance will last for many years. Your child gets to form a heartfelt and close bond with their toys and the charming little mice and elves.
Maileg is all about high quality in the details and materials of their toys. Their designs speak to both young and old playful souls. Not all Maileg products are made to be played with - some of the elves, mice, and other figurines are purely decorative. But the Maileg universe is so great at sparking the imaginations of children and other playful souls that we're happy to offer even the more delicate, display-only pieces to our customers regardless.
