Here’s a set of modelling clay in four lovely colours: orange, pink, white, and a beautiful raspberry red.
This modelling clay from Djeco is approved for children from 18 months and made from ingredients that are safe if your child decides to have a little sample. That means licking your fingers while modelling is perfectly safe. Just remember to wash your hands after play.
It’s a good idea to stay close by when your little one is playing with the modelling clay, just in case they unexpectedly develop a taste for ocean-level salty treats.
The modelling clay is soft and doesn’t dry out easily. Still, remember to put it back in the tubs and close the lids properly after use. This prevents drying out and also helps avoid surprise clay blobs on the wall after leaving your little one unattended for a moment.
Here, essential skills are stimulated, which are wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn:
- Here, your child can sharpen their fine motor skills.
- Benefits visual perception.
- Excellent for the tactile sense. A well-developed tactile sense can benefit your child's well-being.
Suitable for children aged 18 mos. to 5 yrs.
For instance, when your child needs to sit down and pay attention to a fairy tale, it’s wonderful to squeeze and knead different types of sensory slime, clay, or playdough while listening. It magically boosts your child’s concentration, even though it is actually a type of distraction.
For the littlest ones, playdough is mainly about the sensory experience. And older children can use playdough to bring their craziest ideas to life. Your child can make anything from three-headed aliens to princesses and knights.
We carry playdough of many different colours and types and with different hardness levels. Firm playdough stimulates your child’s proprioception by providing a bit more resistance. Among other things, firm playdough is ideal for making stop motion movies, because the shape holds well.
It’s a quiet activity that can help your child sit still for just seven more minutes - or help them deal with long train or car rides without restlessly wiggling around in their seat. Especially, for children with a lot of motor restlessness, fiddling with something that stimulates their hands, proprioception, imagination, and fine motor skills while sitting still can help them stay calm.
Oil-based playdough remains soft for several years. You can soften water-based playdough by kneading a bit of water into it.
Of course, all the different types of playdough, sensory slime, and modeling clay we carry at Toy Academy have CE-marking and are approved in accordance with current toy safety regulations - just like all our other toys.
