Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 5 yrs.For instance, when your child needs to sit still and pay attention to a fairy tale, it’s wonderful to knead and squeeze various kinds of sensory slime, clay, or playdough while listening. It magically improves your child’s concentration, even though it is in fact a type of distraction.
For small children, playdough is mostly about the sensory experience. And older children can use playdough to bring their wildest ideas to life. Your child can make anything from fierce dragons to princesses and knights.
We carry playdough of many different colours and types and with different firmness levels. Firm playdough stimulates your child’s proprioception by providing a bit more resistance. Among other things, firm playdough is ideal for making stop motion movies, because the shape holds better.
This activity is quiet and can help your child be still for just 5 more minutes - or help them cope with long train or car rides without wiggling about in their seat. In particular, for children with a lot of motor restlessness, playing with something that activates their hands, proprioception, imagination, and fine motor skills while sitting still can help them stay calm.
Oil-based playdough tends to stay soft for several years. You can soften water-based playdough by mixing in a bit of water.
