What makes this product special
Suitable for ages 3 yrs. to 6 yrs.
For example, when you need to sit still and pay attention to a fairy tale, it’s great to squeeze and knead various types of clay, playdough, or sensory slime while listening. It magically sharpens your child’s concentration, even though it is really a type of distraction.
For the littlest ones, playdough is mostly about the sensory experience. And older children can use playdough to bring their funniest ideas to life. Your child can make anything from cats with four heads to queens, kings, princes, and princesses.
We carry playdough of many different types and colours and with different firmness levels. Firmer playdough stimulates your child’s proprioception because it offers more resistance when played with. Among other things, firm playdough is ideal for making stop motion movies, because it holds its shape better.
This activity is quiet and can help your child stay still for just 7 more minutes - or help them deal with long train or car rides without restlessly moving around in their seat. In particular, for children with a lot of motor restlessness, playing with something that stimulates proprioception, hands, fine motor skills, and imagination while sitting still can bring a sense of calm.
Oil-based playdough remains soft for several years. You can soften water-based playdough by mixing in a bit of water.
Of course, all the different types of playdough, sensory slime, and modelling clay you'll find at ToyAcademy are CE-marked and approved in accordance with current toy safety legislation - just like all our other products.
