Your older child can make anything from pink elephants with spots to princesses and knights and bring their craziest ideas to life. For the littlest ones, playdough is mostly about the sensory experience.

We carry playdough of many different colours and types and with different hardness levels. Firm playdough stimulates your child’s proprioception by providing a bit more resistance. For instance, firm playdough is ideal for making stop motion movies, because it holds its shape better.

It’s a quiet activity that can help your child sit still for just seven more minutes - or help them endure long train or car rides without restlessly moving about in their seat. In particular, for children with a lot of motor restlessness, fiddling with something that stimulates fine motor skills, hands, imagination, and proprioception while sitting still can create a sense of calm.

Oil-based playdough tends to stay soft for several years. You can soften water-based playdough by adding in a bit of water.
