What makes this product special

We’re big fans of how newméro Bricks bring math to life. This clever, hands-on system makes it easy to see and understand numbers and their value and differences, while exploring concepts like number bonds to 10 and building bigger numbers in a clear, physical way.

This small set includes 27 high-quality plastic bricks in two colours:
- Two sets of yellow bricks (numbers 1–9)
- Two sets of green bricks (numbers 10–90)

It’s brilliantly simple, making it easy for your child to understand the logic and jump straight into activities that (finally!) move learning off the page and into their hands. You can also add the matching activity books for newméro Bricks if you’d like to combine hands-on learning with more traditional exercises.

Suitable for children aged 3 and up, depending on their level and familiarity with numbers.

The set includes colourful, numbered bricks designed to make numbers fun, approachable, and easy to grasp for little learners.

The bricks have several built-in hints and helpful learning features. This “guided design” encourages children to figure things out on their own and help each other along the way.

1. The bricks have small counting knobs on top. For example, the brick with the number 5 has 5 knobs. By counting them, children can see and understand what “5” really means.

2. When you stack two number bricks, the counting knobs appear side by side, helping children see how numbers combine. This makes it easy to either add the two bricks or subtract one from the other. Ones stack neatly on top of each other, while tens stand out clearly with triangle-shaped counting knobs instead of rounded ones. Their knobs are also slightly offset, making it easy to count the tens first and then add the ones.

3. Number bricks that add up to 10, 100, or 1000 fit together like puzzle pieces along the edges. For example, 2 and 8 match: the right edge of the 2 fits neatly with the left edge of the 8.

4. Each brick has a small peg on the front, making it easy to connect two or more numbers—however many you need to build a number or show a calculation. Ones are the same length and stack evenly. If you combine the green 20 brick with the yellow 5 brick, the 20 will stick out underneath, since two-digit bricks are longer than single-digit ones. This helps children learn to set up calculations correctly by separating tens and ones.

This system makes the abstract base-10 concept tangible through hands-on play. The bricks’ surface, size, weight, and colours are carefully designed to support young children’s natural need for tactile learning.

The set includes a booklet with activity ideas, plus access to a website where you can watch the exercises in short 30-second videos. You’ll find plenty of free resources on newméro’s website.

The creators of newméro have won numerous international awards for their ingenious learning system.

The activity supports skill development and is wonderful for your child's well-being:

  • Benefits your child's counting, number recognition, and basic math skills.

Suitable for ages 3 yrs. to 7 yrs.

Your child uses a wide range of skills in the classroom, and every day they're learning new mental, physical, academic, and social skills all at once. Practising one or two academic skills with you at home in a calm setting can make the school day easier for your child.

With educational games, puzzles, and other kinds of playful learning activities, your child can gradually improve their skills in number recognition, writing, small times tables, logical reasoning, and other academic skills.

Maybe your child can’t get enough of schoolwork and wants more logic, letters, and numbers at home. Or maybe your child is excited to start school and learn lots of things just like the big kids. Leaving some educational toys lying around the house is a great way to introduce your child to playful, enjoyable learning so they can play themselves smarter whenever they want.
