Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 6 yrs.Doing puzzles develops your child's patience and fine motor skills. Also, placing the pieces is a good way to get better at understanding how the pieces fit together to form a whole and envisioning where each part belongs in the big picture.
The ability to register something visually (using our eyes) and envision what's missing from a whole is important when it comes to learning math and geometry as well as understanding how sums, sentences, or even a piece of knitting, among other things, consist of sequences and patterns.
Many puzzles have a special theme or topic, which you can talk about while you're doing it. This is a great way to strengthen your child's vocabulary about e.g. animals, flags of the world, or our universe.
