Hop on the skateboard and you're ready to roll!

That feeling of being unstoppable - cool, confident, and free - as the skateboard wheels hiss and whoosh across the pavement, the wind tousles your hair, and everyone watches in awe - maybe you remember it yourself.

While you were riding your skateboard, you were secretly learning to master all sorts of important skills. You probably didn’t think about it at the time, but riding a skateboard is fantastic practice for learning how to actively shift your weight - your centre of gravity constantly shifts as you bend and sway to keep your balance. Your knee and ankle joints also get stronger, and you get used to standing on one leg while pushing off with the other. And over time, skateboarding requires quite a bit of courage. When you finally figure out how to do something, you feel so proud. When you fall, you learn that you're close to mastering a new skill, so you just need to keep practising. After you put a cool bandage on, of course.

Ookkie is a skateboard that even very young children from the age of 1 can enjoy. The littlest ones who have just started walking can stand on the board, hold on to the handle, and enjoy being pulled along by you.

As the next step, you can remove the handle so your child learns to balance without it, while you're still controlling the speed and direction.

You can also leave the handle on but stop pulling your child along, so they learn to push off on their own while still having the support of the handle. Mix, match, and switch the order of these steps depending on what works for your child.

When your child is ready, you can remove the handles completely - then the Ookkie becomes a regular skateboard that your child can learn to master at their own pace.

Ookkie is super easy to assemble with just a few clicks - no tools needed. Your child should always wear protective gear while riding their Ookkie. Store the Ookkie in a dry place.
