Drawing and having fun simply helps your child gain control of the pencil, which is very helpful for schoolwork. And it's so lovely to get a little handwritten note from your child that says "lof yoo" - and just as surprising and amusing to come across the first note stuck to the door of your child’s room that says "no parints aloud". Down the line, a good grasp and a steady handwriting are useful for handwritten birthday and Christmas cards.
