It supports your child's depth perception to play with a ball using their feet, hands, head, or a bat/racket. Some ball games have rules, and it's beneficial for your child to learn how to follow them. So, when your child firmly insists that there's certainly NO penalty kick, or that the ball was NOT out of bounds, feel free to cheer - that's a learning moment. Playing ball games also revs up your child's proprioception - and that's a sense that cannot get overstimulated.
