Play food is ideal for imaginative play, which inspires your child to imitate real-life situations such as cooking, shopping, or going to a café. Have conversations about what happens to food inside the body, where our food comes from, and when we usually eat it. This helps to develop your child’s vocabulary and knowledge.

Role play lets children imitate real-life activities, which builds up their understanding of the world they live in. Also, you can expand your child's play opportunities by playing grocery store, maybe with homemade signs and price tags. That way, you can have fun with both words and numbers, and your child can gain confidence in calculating prices, giving back change, or greeting customers politely.
