All pieces are made of wood and finished with water-based paint.

Toy food is great for role playing, which inspires your child to imitate real-life experiences such as shopping, cooking, or visiting a café. Have conversations about what happens to food inside the body, where our food comes from, and when we usually eat it. This expands your child’s knowledge and vocabulary.

Role play where children act out everyday activities helps to develop their understanding of the world they live in. With play food, your child also gets to be silly and play with food in a way that is maybe not allowed at mealtime with real food. You can also use the play food to play grocery store and practise writing little signs, coming up with prices and special offers, and practising polite phrases. Your child can take payment at the cash register and give back change, which is great for their math skills.
