Play Food - Burger Meal

Your child can play chef or burger shop and let you or the teddy bears order takeout. 

This set is also great for talking about what our food is made from, and that not all food is healthy to eat every day.

A realistic burger, juicy chicken, and crispy fries (as juicy and crispy as pretend food can be). The whole meal can be neatly packed into the three red-and-white striped boxes.

This activity supports essential skills which support your child's well-being and ability to learn:

• Great for role play, where children practise finding their own place in the game and taking turns to lead. This benefits your child's ability to cooperate and show empathy.
• Motivates your child to practise social skills, for example being able to wait their turn, lose, trade toys, or listen, being patient and tolerant, and trying to read the situation.

Play food is fantastic for pretend play, which inspires your child to imitate real-life experiences such as shopping, cooking, or being in a café. Talk about where food comes from, when we typically eat it, and where it goes after we swallow it. This is great for your child’s knowledge and vocabulary.

Pretend play gives children the opportunity to copy real-life activities, which strengthens their understanding of the world around them. You can expand your child's play opportunities by playing grocery store, maybe with little homemade special offer signs. That way, you can have fun with both words and numbers, and your child can build up their confidence practising polite phrases and adding up small sums.

MaMaMeMo is from Denmark and was among the first toy companies to (among other things) launch play food which actually looks familiar to children. The quality is high, and the range is wide and includes play kitchens, ice cream stands, play tents, and more.

MaMaMeMo was founded by the Danish couple Anne-Marie and Poul. The company name is made up from the names of the couple's 4 children, Marie, Mads, Mette, & Morten. These four children's play with MaMaMeMo wooden play food, ice cream stands, play kitchens, mixers, bakery counters, etc. was an inspiration for the parents Anne-Marie and Poul. After watching their own kids play, the couple started a production of these wonderful playthings and beganselling them worldwide.
