Talk about where our food comes from and what happens to it inside the body. This helps to develop your child’s vocabulary and knowledge. Play food is great for role play, which inspires your child to copy real-life scenarios such as cooking, shopping, or visiting a café.
Role play where children copy real-life activities develops their understanding of the world they live in. With play food, your child also gets to play with food in a way that is maybe not acceptable at mealtime with real food. You can also use the play food to play grocery store and practise making special offers, writing signs, and politely greeting customers. Your child can practise taking payments and giving back change, which is a great way of practisting their math skills.
