Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 7 yrs.
Different kinds of play sets and play furniture that resemble real life are a safe environment for your child to learn about grocery shopping, serving food, or going to the doctor's office. There are certain expectations for how children should behave in these environments, and children can only understand such expectations if they've had a chance to practise and experiment a bit in advance, for example through play that involves ordering at a café, practising polite phrases, or talking about their symptoms. This type of play is also perfect if you have a child who is a little bit nervous and shy around strangers.
This activity stimulates important skills which support your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:
- Gives your child lots of opportunities to unleash their imagination.
- Ideal for group role play, where children learn about finding their own place in the game and not always being in charge.
- Encourages your child to practise social skills, for example being able to wait their turn, lose, trade toys, or listen, being patient and tolerant, and trying to read the situation.
