Do you know PlayMais?

Are you searching for a new way of doing creative projects with children at school, in kindergarten, or at home? Do you want it to be suitable for children from 3 years old and be easy to handle without paint, glue, and gooey stuff all over the place? Would you also like to mix several different creative activities in one process? Then PlayMais is the answer, which is a very special and quite brilliant way to make crafts, models, and figures. PlayMais are small, slightly oblong pieces or "dots", made from cornstarch and food colouring, which can easily be shaped with your fingers and which stick together using only water. With the small corn pieces, you can form mosaics and small artworks following templates, entire artistic pictures and statues, or fun trophies to put up in the living room at home.

It’s easy to be creative with PlayMais. You simply take a piece, shape, mash, squish, or cut the small corn piece into the desired shape, dampen it with a wet sponge and stick it where your child’s creativity says it should go. PlayMais stick because the pieces are made from cornstarch, which gets sticky when wet. PlayMais has been celebrated globally and won many awards. They are fully biodegradable and it's actually perfectly safe for your child to taste them.

Your child shouldn’t gobble down a whole bowl of PlayMais, but tasting them won’t cause harm. They taste a bit like unsalted popcorn and stick to the tongue in a weird way. You can get PlayMais activity books, templates, and all kinds of different play sets. You can get both small PlayMais for experimenting with fun mosaics, which which develop your child's understanding of the transition between 2D and 3D creativity, as well as bigger PlayMais for making even larger creations following instructions or from free imagination. PlayMais are made from a material which is corn flour-based, and which is completely decomposable. No plastic here.
