PlayTRAY Sensory Play Tray with Lid

This sensory tray is absolutely brilliant for your child’s sensory play. 

The tray has an internal diameter of 39 cm, so it has plenty of space for your child's intuitive play. It's great for everything from water and mud to kinetic sand, beans, and rice.

You get:

• a deep main tray with a height of 7.5 cm
• a shallow tray (which doubles as a lid) with a silicone seal
• 6 removable compartments

We can definitely tell this tray was designed by a former teacher - there are so many thoughtful little details to highlight. 

• Both trays have non-slip silicone feet. That's a super helpful feature when your child accidentally bumps into the sensory tray while it's full of water, and it doesn’t move a centimeter.
• The lid. It may sound trivial, but it's just so practical to be able to pop a lid on the play tray and leave it out, or store it for a while, without dust, dirt, flies, or a curious cat getting into the contents.
• Can be used with most dry-erase markers, which wipe off easily (test it first on the bottom of the tray).
• The whole thing is dishwasher safe - just use a cycle with a max temperature of 60 degrees.

Play ideas:

• To explore colours, pour water into the six compartments and add food colouring (or some of your child's paint).
• Fill the deep tray with water and gather some small jugs, cups, and bath toys so your child can splash, pour, and maybe plop objects like forks or popsicle sticks into the water to explore what floats and what sinks.
• Your child can also have fun playing with food in this sensory tray and safely have a little taste along the way, because the plastic is food-grade.
• Fill the six compartments with craft supplies like beads, glue, pom poms, pebbles, and colouring pens. Place some paper nearby and see what unfolds. 
• The different parts can go in the freezer, so you can also experiment with freezing toys in water or play with frozen or semi-thawed items in the tray.
• The tray is fantastic for sorting games. For example, you can organise toys or small items into the six compartments by their colours, starting letters, or numbers of syllables in their names.
• Build different habitats in the tray, or in each of the six compartments, for your child’s animal figures to live in.

• With an external diameter of 43 cm, the tray is big enough for plenty of playtime without taking up your entire living room or kitchen.

• Paint may stain the tray. We recommend testing on a discreet spot first.
