Building and construction play is fun, a bit time consuming, and very educational. We'll leave out a long piece about how this type of play stimulates your child's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as well as their interest in entrepreneurship and understanding of geometry.
With construction play, your child also gets real hands-on experience with problem-solving as they figure out how to design the construction so it doesn't fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of building materials develops their patience. Also, it's just so cool and satisfying to construct a tall, tall tower or build the longest marble run ever, or to maybe create an impressive domino track and film it when it topples.

Do you know Plus-Plus?
Plus-Plus are lovely construction toys that most children love. The pieces look like little plus signs and can be put together on all sides – and they come in many, many colours and both in 2 x 1.2 x 0.4 cm and 5 x 3 x 1 cm. Playing and building with Plus-Plus builds up the children's understanding of logic and geometry. On for example YouTube, you will find lots of building instructions and inspiration for creating various structures with Plus-Plus.Plus-Plus® pieces are manufactured in Denmark, and the factory exclusively uses renewable energy sources. You can wash them in the dishwasher/washing machine at 60 degrees.
Plus-Plus last for many years of play in schools and daycares, and they can withstand about a lifetime of fun construction play at home. Donate or sell your Plus-Plus when your child outgrows the building pieces.
