This is the next generation of Polydron - they're classic Polydron shapes as you know them, but they're frames without a solid centre (which means you get more pieces for your money).
These Polydron shapes are compatible with classic Polydron pieces from original sets.
These lightweight pieces are extra easy to connect - the open frames let your child reach through with their hands and fingers to snap the shapes together. That makes it even easier for little ones to build geometric shapes and fun models.
The patented joints click together easily to create a strong and flexible hinge, and they're just the right size for your school-age child’s hands.
Because the geometric shapes aren’t solid, it's easier for your child to get a sense of how the shapes are made and what fits inside them, because you can look right through the frames.
This set contains:
- 80 squares
- 160 triangles
- 40 pentagons
Polydron Frameworks can be safely and effectively cleaned in the dishwasher at 70°C.
When playing outdoors, keep your Polydron Frameworks pieces in the shade or bring them inside after use. The pieces are made of ABS plastic, which is not UV-resistant. ABS plastic is a food-grade material also used for food storage containers, so it’s no problem if your child decides to give the pieces a taste.

Building and construction play is fun, a bit time consuming, and very educational. We'll leave out a long-winded essay about how this type of play develops your child's fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity as well as their understanding of geometry and interest in entrepreneurship.
With construction play, your child also gets real-life experience with solving problems when it comes to figuring out how to assemble the construction so it doesn't fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of building materials develops their imagination and patience. Also, it's just such a confidence boost to construct a tall, tall tower or build the longest marble run ever, or to maybe make an amazing domino row and film it as it topples.
