Polydron Construction Set - Frameworks, 280 pcs

This is the next generation of Polydron - they're classic Polydron shapes as you know them, but they're frames without a solid centre (which means you get more pieces for your money).

These Polydron shapes are compatible with classic Polydron pieces from original sets.

These lightweight pieces are extra easy to connect - the open frames let your child reach through with their hands and fingers to snap the shapes together. That makes it even easier for little ones to build geometric shapes and fun models.

The patented joints click together easily to create a strong and flexible hinge, and they're just the right size for your school-age child’s hands.

Because the geometric shapes aren’t solid, it's easier for your child to get a sense of how the shapes are made and what fits inside them, because you can look right through the frames.

This set contains:

• 160 triangles
• 40 pentagons

Here, important skills are stimulated, which are wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:

• Great for enhancing your child's visual perception.
• Stimulates hand-eye coordination, which is engaged e.g. when we throw, catch, or kick the ball that comes flying at us in PE class, or when we cut an accurate line with a pair of scissors or need to pour a glass of water without missing.

Constructing and building is very educational, very fun, and a bit time consuming. We could certainly write a long essay about how this type of play develops your child's creativity, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills as well as their interest in entrepreneurship and understanding of geometry.

With construction play, your child also gets practical experience with problem-solving as they figure out how to set up the construction so it doesn't suddenly collapse. Also, it's just so cool and satisfying to construct a tall, tall tower or build the world's longest marble run, or to create a really cool domino track and film it when it topples.
