Polydron's magnetic building blocks are polarised, so they need to be aligned correctly for the attraction to work. Playing with KinderMag will give your child a fundamental understanding of magnetism, as they need to twist and turn the shapes so they don't repel each other. Create both 2D and 3D models. 3D construction play in particular strengthens your child's spatial awareness, which will help them in the future when making 3D drawings, folding a paper star, or eventually assembling a moving box on their own when the time comes.

You can absolutely let the kids play with KinderMag Polydron outdoors. But don’t leave your magnetic Polydron out in the sun for hours. The pieces are made of ABS plastic, which is not UV-resistant. On the plus side, it is a food-grade material, so your child can safely give it a taste, and it’s made of 70% recycled plastic. The pieces can be disinfected with rubbing alcohol.
