Drawing, writing, and painting strengthen your child's grasp and fine motor skills, which are necessary skills for learning to write legible numbers and letters.
Drawing and having fun simply helps your child learn how to control the pencil, which is very helpful for schoolwork. And it's just so lovely to receive a little handwritten note from your child that says "lof yoo" - and equally surprising and amusing to see the first note stuck to the door of your child’s room that says "no parints aloud". Later on, it’s time for slightly more complicated writing projects such as handwritten Christmas and birthday cards – both made possible by a good grasp and a steady handwriting.
