What makes this product special

A bunch of fruits and a cute little kitty your child can stack and balance on the banana. Keep going until the whole thing comes crashing down — then place the pieces neatly back into their spots in the puzzle frame.

A fun combination of a puzzle and a balance game.

Suitable for children aged 18 mos. to 3 yrs.

Doing puzzles is a good way to get better at understanding how individual pieces fit together to form a whole and figuring out where each piece needs to be placed in the big picture.

The ability to perceive something visually (using our eyes) and envision what's missing from a whole is an important skill when it comes to learning geometry and math as well as comprehending how sums, sentences, or a piece of knitting, among other things, are constructed of patterns and sequences.

Often, a puzzle has a special topic or theme, which you can talk about while doing it. This is a great way to strengthen your child's vocabulary about e.g. animals, flags of the world, or our universe.

From a very young age, children start experimenting withstacking blocks or other objects on top of each other. By doing this, they learn about physics, balance, proportions, and gravity. At first, it's great fun getting the blocks to fall. But slowly and surely, your child's motor skills improve, and they learn to stack 3, 5, or 10 blocks or try stacking toy animals, figures, or other things. If the blocks have numbers on them, your child can practise numbers and sequences while playing.

The activity is wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn:

  • Strengthens your child's fine motor skills.
  • Stimulates hand-eye coordination, a skill we use for example when catching, throwing, or kicking the ball that comes flying at us in PE class, or when cutting in a straight line with scissors.
  • Strengthens your child's comprehension of cause and effect. The ability to predict outcomes gives your child a sense of safety.
