The activity is wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn:

• Great for role play, where little ones practise finding their own place in the game and not always being in charge. This develops your child's empathy and ability to work with others.

Suitable for ages 3 yrs. to 6 yrs.

Doing puzzles strengthens your child's fine motor skills and patience. Also, putting the pieces in place is a fun way to get better at understanding how parts fit together to form a whole and figuring out where each piece needs to be placed in the big picture.

The ability to register something visually and envision what's missing from a whole is important when learning math and geometry as well as understanding how sums, sentences, or a piece of knitting, among other things, are constructed of sequences and patterns.

If the puzzle has a special topic, such as animals, anatomy, or geography, you can expand your child's vocabulary by talking about it while doing the puzzle.
