Puzzle with Sounds - Around the House

When your child lifts each of the 8 sturdy puzzle pieces, a sound plays that matches the activity happening in the room. The sound is light-activated, so the puzzle works best when played with near a window in sunlight or close to a lamp. 

Talk with your child about the sounds you're hearing. Is it food sizzling on the stove? Or a car roaring to life in the garage?

This puzzle lets your child explore everything happening in the busy household.

This activity benefits essential skills which are wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:

Doing puzzles strengthens your child's fine motor skills and patience. Also, putting the pieces together is a fun way to get better at understanding how separate parts form a whole and figuring out where each part belongs in the big picture.

Being able to perceive something visually (with our eyes) and envision a whole (and what parts are missing) is important when learning math and geometry as well as understanding how sentences, sums, or a piece of knitting, among other things, are made up of patterns and sequences.

If the puzzle has a special theme, such as time, animals, or the universe, you can talk about it and strengthen your child's vocabulary while you're placing the pieces.
