This type of play expands your child’s ability to sort through objects and toys as well as the many impressions they experience daily. Before we can understand what something is and what it means, we first need to know how it differs from something else. And sorting toys and activities specifically help with that.
Quite a few real-life situations demand that we know how to sort and organise – for example, we use that skill when we make separate piles of laundry, learn equations, or sort our garbage.
The activity supports skill development and is wonderful for your child's well-being:
