A swing is great for improving your child's vestibular sense, which in turn improves their concentration and balance and helps to develop their awareness of what way their body is facing.

Also, a well-developed vestibular sense is what helps your child spin around or stand on one leg without losing balance or getting dizzy, or ride in a car without getting car sick. If you have 5-10 minutes to spare, you can read more about the vestibular sense here.

The activity helps your child develop new skills and is wonderful for your child's well-being:

  • Excellent for getting your child's body moving, which in turn boosts their gross motor skills.
  • Benefits your child's vestibular sense, which improves learning ability, balance, and concentration.
  • Supports your child's proprioception, which you may also know as the body awareness sense or the kinesthetic sense.
