Petanque is a fun game that can be played by all age groups.Â
The aim of the game is to hit the target ball with the slightly larger balls, or at least place them as close as possible to the target ball. Playing Petanque will help your child improve their hand-eye coordination (and perhaps learn a few things about winning and losing with grace).
This Petanque set has lightweight balls and is intended for indoor use. Each ball weighs 275 grams.

It benefits your child's depth perception to play with a ball using their hands, feet, head, or a racket/bat. Some ball games have rules, and it's beneficial for your child to learn how to follow them. So, when your child stubbornly insists that there's definitely NO penalty kick, or that the ball was NOT out of bounds, feel free to cheer - that's a learning moment. Playing with balls also gives your child's proprioception great workout - and that's a sense which cannot be overstimulated.
