Toys for learning through play
Play is essential for children’s learning, well-being, and development. Through play, children learn about themselves and the world around them.
Play helps children:
• stay curious
• focus and become absorbed in what they're doing
• take on age-appropriate challenges
• build confidence
We believe children learn best by doing things for themselves:
• by making mistakes
• by getting messy
• by falling down and getting back up again
Resilience, confidence, and courage grow through experience, one small step at a time.
That's why we carefully choose toys that encourage independence, imagination, movement, and social skills — offering just the right balance of support, freedom, and opportunities to grow.
Carefully selected toys
We carefully handpick every toy from the vast world of toys available today. The only toys that make it into our range are ones we'd be happy to give our own children.
Every toy at ToyAcademy should:
• support learning through play
• be made from durable, high-quality materials
• be safe and enjoyable for children to play with

What makes this product special
Many children love games and activities with clear rules and limits. It can be nice to immerse yourself in a game where not everything is up for negotiation - games have rules, and for many children that can be a relief.
At the same time, playing games gives your child an opportunity to experience (and cope with) losing. We recommend not letting your child win the game every single time. Teach your children to cope with defeat in a safe setting together with you. This builds resilience in your child, which will benefit them later in life when they set out on their own and you cannot shield them from disappointment and defeat.
This activity strengthens important skills which help support your child's well-being and ability to learn:
- Strengthens your child's awareness of shapes/colours.
- A great way to help your child strengthen their logical thinking.
