Squeaky Shoes - For Toe Walkers

Our feet are an exceptionally important part of our anatomy. They carry us through life, which is why it’s essential that we take good care of them. Shoes are actually quite a strange thing to put on small, soft children's feet - and more and more research shows that we humans are actually better off walking barefoot as long and as often as possible. But alas, in our modern world that isn’t always possible, especially in cold weather. But wearing shoes causes some children to develop walking patterns that aren't ideal for their motor skills. For instance, some children become toe walkers, meaning they walk on their toes and their heel never fully hits the ground when they walk.  Whether your child is a toe walker or has other challenges related to their way of walking, these "squeaky" shoe straps can be a great help in developing a healthy, correct gait. The sound made by the straps is less like a creaky door and more like a squeak or chirp. The straps fit shoes from size 19 to size 36. The squeaky sounds help your child pay attention to how each step rolls over the foot, the movement of the toes, and the rhythm of the stride. From around 2-3 years old (be sure to check that your child's shoe size matches the sizes mentioned above).
