What makes this product special
Suitable for ages 1 yr. to 2.5 yrs.
When children experiment with stacking blocks or similar objects on top of each other, which they start doing at a very young age, they also learn about balance, proportions, gravity, and physics. At first, it's all about toppling the stack of blocks. But as your child gets older, their motor skills improve, and they start to build block towers or experiment with stacking figures, toy animals, or other things. Some blocks have numbers, so your child can practise numbers and their sequences while playing.

These lovely stacking blocks are a Djeco classic, and you’ve probably seen them before.
These stacking blocks are extra lovely because your child learns so much from figuring out how to stack them in the right order and make sense of the different sizes. Each block has pictures on all sides, with designs that support your child’s development in different ways.
Stack the blocks so the tree lines up from top to bottom of the tower, or count the objects on one of the other sides. Talk about the different animals and see if you can name the numbers together.
Measures 15x15 cm. The tower is 86 cm tall.
This activity benefits important skills which are great for your child's well-being and ability to learn:
- This type of play helps your child improve their depth perception skills. For instance, this will help your child walk or cycle in traffic in a safe manner. "How fast is the car coming towards me?" suddenly becomes easier to judge.
- Develops hand-eye coordination, which you make use of e.g. when kicking or catching a ball that comes flying at you in the playground, or when cutting an accurate line with a pair of scissors.
- This is a way for your child to improve their proprioception, which increases your child's confidence to use their body in other types of physical play and benefits their concentration.
