Animal figures are a bit of a classic of the toy chest. Watch as your child uses them for all kinds of fun and imaginative role play. Maybe the animals live on a farm, at the zoo, or in the wild – or maybe they've gone off on an adventure to the playground. The play with imagining what the animals experience develops the ability to come up with imaginative stories and put words to them.
The animals are also great when your child is learning math and needs to work out how many animals you each get if you are three people and divide them between you. Or maybe the animals enjoy being stacked, sorted, counted, or arranged according to their initials or the number of letters or syllables in their names.
