This type of play is a way for your child to practise understanding and telling a story with a beginning and an end. This is a useful skill, which can be developed by telling a story again and again.
Props can bring a fairy tale or story to life. In this way, the reader telling the story is not hidden behind a book but gets to be active and in close contact with the little listeners, who get to join in the story instead of being passive.
